If You're Wondering… Yes. Still. A Lot. And With All of My Soul.

There are people who pass through our lives and leave something behind that time never quite removes.
Not because the relationship lasted forever.
Not because everything was perfect.
But because somewhere within that shared time—sometimes quietly, sometimes unexpectedly—they helped shape the person we were becoming.
Some people arrive gently.
Others enter our lives like a storm.
But the ones who matter most always seem to leave the same thing behind:
A mark.
Life, of course, does what life always does.
Paths shift.
Conversations fade.
People move in different directions.
Sometimes it happens naturally, like the turning of a season.
Other times it leaves questions we never quite get answered.
And in the moment, it can feel confusing.
Even unfinished.
But time has a way of revealing things that weren’t clear while we were living through them.
Because absence doesn’t erase meaning.
It simply changes the way that meaning lives inside of you.
If you pay attention, you begin to notice it.
A thought surfaces that sounds like something they once said.
A lesson appears in your life that traces back to a conversation years ago.
A perspective you now carry that once came from a moment you didn’t fully appreciate at the time.
If you're wondering...
Yes. Still. A lot. And with all of my soul.
Not because the past is being held onto.
But because certain people become part of the internal compass that guides us forward.
They influence how we think.
How we respond.
How we carry ourselves through the world.
Even if they are no longer walking beside us.
And somewhere along the way, another quiet truth reveals itself.
Sometimes the interaction wasn’t meant to last.
Sometimes it was meant to teach.
Life has a way of doing that.
It gives the test first… and the lesson later.
Only with time do we begin to understand why someone appeared when they did.
Why certain conversations stayed with us.
Why their presence shifted something inside of us.
What once felt random begins to look purposeful.
Not every meaningful person is meant to stay forever.
Some are meant to leave something behind that we carry forward ourselves.
A perspective.
A strength we didn’t yet possess.
A question that pushed us to grow.
A mirror that helped us see ourselves more clearly.
Their absence may leave space.
But their presence left direction.
And when you take a moment to reflect on the people who have played that role in your life—the ones who challenged you, believed in you, changed your thinking, or simply crossed your path at the exact moment you needed them—
You begin to realize something important.
Their impact didn’t end when your paths diverged.
It became integrated into who you are.
And if you ever wonder whether those moments mattered…
If you ever wonder whether their presence still echoes in the person you’ve become…
Yes. Still. A lot. And with all of my soul.
Because some people were never meant to stay forever. They were meant to change us forever.
