What’s Meant for You Won’t Miss You

There’s a strange kind of peace that comes when you finally accept this truth:
What was created for you will not miss you.
What misses you was never meant to be yours.

For most of my life, I fought against that idea.
Like many people, I believed that if something slipped through my fingers — an opportunity, a relationship, a job, a win — it must’ve been my fault.
I must’ve failed.
I must’ve been unworthy.
I must’ve done something wrong.
But over time, through discipline, heartbreak, victories, losses, bodybuilding, career setbacks, and life itself… I’ve realized something liberating:
Not everything you want is meant for you.
And not everything meant for you arrives when you want it.
We think life is unfair because life doesn’t bend to our timeline.
We think we’re being punished because something didn’t go our way.
But the truth is simpler…
Life isn’t unfair — it’s unfolding.
And we’re not always meant to understand the timing.
When It Doesn’t Go Your Way
Maybe you’ve been denied the promotion you’ve worked tirelessly for.
Maybe you’ve stepped on stage five times and walked away without the win.
Maybe someone got chosen instead of you — and you can’t understand why.
Maybe you keep showing up, doing the right things, and still feel unseen.
It’s easy to let that break you.
It’s easy to think:
“Why not me?”
“What more do I need to do?”
“What am I doing wrong?”
But here’s the reframe:
You’re not being denied.
You’re being redirected.
The position you want may not be the position that grows you.
The show you “should have won” may be teaching you exactly what you need for the stage that really matters.
The timing you’re begging for may be the thing that would’ve ruined you if you got it too early.
Sometimes, the losses are protection.
Sometimes, the delays are preparation.
Sometimes, the heartbreak is pruning.
And sometimes… you’re being shaped for something you can’t yet see.
The Peace That Comes With Letting Go
There’s a Stoic calm that enters your life when you stop fighting outcomes that weren’t meant for you.
Not resignation.
Not apathy.
Not giving up.
But acceptance.
A deep, grounded belief that:
If it is created for you,
it will find you — even if you’re not ready.
If it is not yours,
it will fade — even if you want it desperately.
This doesn’t mean you stop working hard.
This doesn’t mean you stop striving.
This doesn’t mean you stop wanting big things.
It means you stop attaching your worth to outcomes you can’t control.
You still show up.
You still put in the work.
You still chase your goals with everything you have.
But you understand:
Your job is effort.
Life’s job is outcome.
Don’t confuse the two.
Pick Yourself Up — You’re Still Becoming
When life hits you with something heavy, you have two choices:
Fall apart.
Or fall forward.
Some days will feel unfair.
Some moments will punch harder than others.
Some seasons will test parts of you that you didn’t know could break.
And still…
You get up.
You dust yourself off.
You keep going.
Because what if the thing that isn’t happening for you right now…is the very thing that will elevate you later?
What if your “no” today is the reason you become unstoppable tomorrow?
What if the thing you lost wasn’t meant to be the finish line, but the beginning of who you were meant to become?
The My Disciplined Mind Truth
I am forever at peace with what happens —
not because everything goes my way,
but because I trust that what’s truly mine cannot be taken.
And what slips away?
It was never part of my path to begin with.
So if you’re reading this…
If you’re struggling…
If you’re doubting…
If you feel like life keeps overlooking you…
Remember:
What was meant for you will come. What wasn’t will pass. And you — disciplined, resilient, unbroken — will keep rising.
You owe yourself that much.
